About Building Blocks Homestay

Home Away From Home

Hosting an international student is a wonderful, rewarding experience for any person or family.

You get an excellent opportunity for your family members to learn about another’s culture, and build long lasting relationships and lifelong memories.

Building Blocks Homestay’s goal is to provide a “Home away from Home” experience with a comfortable living environment for the visiting international students by:

Learning From Each Other

Each homestay experience should provide an opportunity for the student and the host family to learn from each other, share interests and establish a foundation for a successful stay in America whether it’s a short term or long term stay.

A worthwhile Endeavour

Other than providing housing, meals, and transportation, we only ask that you take the student in and treat him/her as you would your own child, and try to include student in activities and outings (mall, amusement parks, sporting events etc). The student will pay for all of his/her extra expenses, but feel free to treat the student once in a while if you’d like.

Hosting an international student can be both rewarding and beneficial to your family. Hosting a student in your home gives you an opportunity to earn extra income for your family. You can make $35 per student/per night and even earn up to $700 per week. But the real reward is opening up your home and heart, and sharing your family with a well deserving student.
